Rhyan Douglas isn’t ready to give up on love in his new song “Spin the Block.” It was produced by Othxello, Eli Brown, MattySpatty and Tarron Crayton.
On the acoustic-laden tune, Douglas takes accountability for his shortcomings in a relationship and asks for a second chance.
“Would you spin the block / If all I did was fix up? / I’m tryin’ hard / Hard not to give up on you,” he croons on the sentimental track.
“Spin the Block” is the follow-up to “Conversations,” released in late January. Both songs are from the Canadian singer’s debut EP, Circles, out March 15. His 2023 debut single, “Last Page,” will also appear on Douglas’ forthcoming project.
Regarding the latter track, Douglas stated: “I view ‘Last Page’ as a beginning of sorts, as I open up a whole world of emotions that I never thought I could express out loud. So, I guess I found a way to do it through songs. I’m not great at telling people how I feel sometimes, so I tend to let them be; it’s something I’m now distancing myself from.”
Circles, a nine-track offering, is executive produced by Wondagurl and Eli Brown.
