Rhyan Douglas Releases New Song ‘Last Page’

R&B

R&B newcomer Rhyan Douglas has released his debut single, “Last Page.” It was produced by WahWah James (Kali Uchis, TOBi), and Tarron Crayton (Jazmine Sullivan, Summer Walker).

“Last Page” is an emotionally raw ballad in which Douglas processes heartache over a gentle acoustic guitar backdrop. Throughout the three-minute track, the 19-year-old showcases his vocal range before closing with a soaring belt.

“Honestly, I / Played with the fire / In hopes to feel something / Then realized / Was in the light / Nowhere to hide / That’s when I found you,” Douglas croons.

Regarding his new single, Douglas shares, “I view ‘Last Page’ as a beginning of sorts, as I open up a whole world of emotions that I never thought I could express out loud.”

He adds, “So, I guess I found a way to do it through songs. I’m not great at telling people how I feel sometimes, so I tend to let them be; it’s something I’m now distancing myself from.”

“Last Page” arrives with a Nicko Bruno-directed video that brings the song’s lyrics to life. Set in a bedroom, the video oscillates between flashbacks of a past relationship and the current day. The video can be watched below.

“Last Page” is expected to appear on Douglas’ upcoming debut EP, Circles. A release date has not been announced yet.

According to press materials, Circles will be executive produced by Wondagurl and Eli Brown.
