Emerging R&B group Psiryn has released their second single “The Softest” via Kandi Burruss’ Kandi Koated Entertainment.
The pillowy slow jam reimagines Xscape‘s 1998 classic “Softest Place On Earth,” written and produced by Joe Thomas. The trio stays true to the original song’s seductive energy and chorus, while adding modern flavor in the verses.
“We didn’t just want to remake the song. We wanted to make it ours, while still honoring the women who gave it to us first,” says Psiryn.
“The Softest” was produced by T-Nyce and includes co-writing credit from the Xscape member herself.

“The Softest” follows Psiryn’s debut single, “Sober,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
The group — consisting of Anaya Chayenne, Jada Denise and Victoria McQueen — made history, becoming the first all-female R&B group or duo to reach No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart in nearly 23 years.
According to Billboard, Floetry was the last R&B duo/group to rule the chart in 2003 with “Say Yes.” Additionally, Psiryn became the first all-female trio to reach No. 1 since Brownstone in 1995.
“Our journey with ‘Sober’ has been nothing short of magical,” said Psiryn. “This song speaks to so many people, and performing it in its purest form is our way of giving back to the listeners who made this moment possible. We wanted to create something that feels just as personal and vulnerable as the lyrics themselves.”
