Love can sometimes be tested. Jawan x Tiffany, the R&B duo made up of Jawan Harris and Tiffany Evans, are having their romance tried on their new single “Issues.” It was produced by Chris King (Bryson Tiller, Young Dolph).
In the slow jam, Jawan expresses his frustration with his partner for bringing up past issues they’ve already resolved. He gets irritated by her occasional moodiness but realizes it’s not worth sacrificing what they’ve built.
Evans brings the heat in her verse, singing about her man’s tendency to evade difficult conversations by changing the subject. Even with this, she would never consider leaving him or their love.
Regarding their new song, Jawan x Tiffany exclusively tells Rated R&B, “We wanted to highlight that couples who are in love also experience tough times and disagreements. Even though times can be rough, we hope that ‘Issues’ can inspire those who love each other to listen to one another and work it out.”
“Issues” is Jawan x Tiffany’s first song release of the year, following a string of annual releases from 2020 to 2022, including “Patience,” “To Myself” and “Finally.
Regarding their debut single (“Finally“) produced by Crazy T, Evans told Rated R&B, “It was based on the idea of love and where we were in our relationship when we actually first met.”
All four songs are expected to appear on Jawan x Tiffany’s forthcoming debut project, which does not yet have a release date at this time.
Jawan x Tiffany will get to perform their new music in front of new and existing fans when Evans joins Tamar Braxton as a supporting act on her Love and War 10th Anniversary Tour.
Evans is set to perform two of the seven dates: Oct. 22 in Dallas and Oct. 24 in New York.
“Big sis @tamarbraxton OMG,” Evans wrote on Instagram. “You reached back and thought of me? What even is this? I’m forever grateful to God for you! Thank you for allowing me to celebrate Love and War 10 years with you!”
Other special guests for the tour include Nivea, Drew Sidora, Candiace and Teairra Mari.
