As we enter the final stretch of 2023, more R&B artists are gearing up for tours and concerts in 2024. Before we get into the upcoming shows, let’s look back at some of the highlights of 2023.
This year, R&B artists from all walks of life toured cities worldwide. Rising acts like Chlöe, Coco Jones, FLO and Victoria Monét launched their first headlining tours.
Legendary acts such as Jodeci, SWV and Dru Hill (Summer Block Party Tour) and Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire (Sing A Song All Night Long Tour) joined forces for co-headlining tours.
Tamar Braxton and Jill Scott launched tours celebrating their respective albums’ anniversary, Love and War (10th Anniversary Tour) and Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds: Vol. 1 (Who Is Jill Scott? 2023 Tour).
Even Tony! Toni! Toné! reunited on Raphael Saadiq Revisits Tony! Toni! Toné!: Just Me and You Tour.
Global stars like Beyoncé and The Weeknd went on world tours. The former’s Renaissance World Tour visited 10 countries across 56 shows.
Produced by Parkwood Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour grossed over $579 million worldwide. The stadium tour attracted over 2.7 million fans in 39 cities, according to a Live Nation report.
