Raveena Signs to Warner Records, Shares New Song ‘Rush’

R&B

Warner Records has announced its signing of emerging singer Raveena. Wasting no time to share new music, the Indian-American has released her latest single titled “Rush.” The melodic tune arrives with an accompanying video that Raveena co-directed with Munachi Osegbu.

Speaking on her new single, Raveena shared in a statement, “I wrote ‘Rush’ a couple years back and the song was the genesis of me exploring a more intense marriage between Bollywood sounds and the pop/R&B music that I grew up on in America.

The song and video are centered around a character I created named Asha, a Punjabi space princess who is transported to a distant planet and learns highly advanced spiritual intelligence from the beings that live there.”

She added, “In the video that I co-directed with Munachi, I wanted to create a campy ode to the colorful 80’s Bollywood movies and 70’s Western sci-fi movies that I’m obsessed with, complete with a choreographed dance sequence alongside Asha’s alien friends.”

“Rush” is Raveena’s first track since 2021’s “Tweety.” Prior to that, she independently released her Moonstone EP in 2020, and full-length album, Lucid, in 2019.

Raveena is scheduled to perform at Coachella on April 15 and April 22.
