Post Malone Joins Nirvana for Special SNL Anniversary Performance

Metal

I don’t know why this is something that has literally never crossed my mind or something I even thought was possible. I know Post Malone is a fan of a lot of great shit, with Nirvana definitely falling into that, but of all the Saturday Night Live hoopla lately, this wasn’t on my bingo card or whatever the hell the kids are saying.

Mr. Posty Malone joined Nirvana’s remaining members Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, and Krist Novoselic to perform one of the band’s classic tracks “Smells Like Teen Spirit” for Saturday Night Live‘s 50th anniversary concert. You can watch all that below.

Everyone’s favorite frumpy uncle and SNL alum Adam Sandler welcomed the performers to the stage for the February 14 show at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. With excitement, he shouted “Ladies and gentlemen, Post NIRVANA!,” which is a good pairing of words I guess.

I really shouldn’t be surprised, because Posty did do a livestream of all Nirvana songs back in the 2020 COVID times, which is also about to be pressed to vinyl for Record Store Day this April.

I’m so here for this it’s not even funny.
