Showrunnersbrought the series to Texas with a 9-1-1: Lonestar spinoff starring Rob Lowe and Angela Bassett, but after five seasons, it was canceled by FOX.
A new spinoff set in Nashville was announced in Feb. 2025, with Ryan Murphy and company at the helm once again.
The new installment will attempt to latch onto the spotlight that is currently on country music as a whole by plopping the new show right in the heart of the genre.
They’ve even enlisted the help ofseveral well-known country singers to help generate some buzz.
Which CountryStars Areon9-1-1: Nashville?
Shortly after the series was announced, news broke that LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley had joined the cast. Rimes isan artistwho has successfully straddled the line of country and pop.
In addition to singing, she hasacting experience in a few television shows and movies.
Williams-Paisley is an actress who became a household name in her breakout role as Annie Banks in Father of the Bride. Shehas plenty of experience in front of a camera, including in the hit ABC show Nashville.
She’s also married to country singer Brad Paisley, so don’t beshocked if he make a cameo.
The series — which follows the personal and professional lives of Music City’s first responders — also promises an appearancefrom Kane Brown in its first season, as well as a recurring role for MacKenzie Porter.
