Photos: Gene Simmons’ Insane $14.95 Million Las Vegas Home (It’s for Sale!)

Kiss singer/bassist Gene Simmons is selling his family’s Las Vegas-area home, with an eye-popping listing price of $14.95 million. He owned the property for less than a year, paying $10.8 million in a 2020 transaction for the massive home in the suburb of Henderson.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the house mostly sat empty while Simmons’ wife, model Shannon Tweed, and their two adult children, preferred to spend their time at the family’s other properties. “They’re not fans of 115-degree weather,” he explained.

The one-acre property, built in 2016, features a private courtyard with a floating walkway over a Koi pond, a two-story glass wall that overlooks the famed Strip, an 11-seat theater and bar area with a 1,200-gallon saltwater aquarium and six bedrooms. Simmons made some improvements since buying it, including installing new floors and pulling up carpeting in some of the rooms. An adjacent half acre of land, which Simmons invested $1 million into landscaping a “private oasis” with over 60 trees and a custom irrigation system, is also included in the sale.

Kiss just wrapped up the U.S. leg of their “End of the Road” world tour. Simmons and guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley both contracted Covid-19 during the run, forcing the postponement of several dates. More shows are on deck for later this year and 2022, including a residency in Vegas.
