Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘Last Rites’ Memoir Promises One Final Ride Through Rock’s Wildest Life

Metal

After everything that’s happened over the decades, you may think you finally know Ozzy Osbourne. Having just retired following one of the most memorable events in metal history, it’s apparently time for the ‘Prince of Darkness’ to give us all one last… book.

Set to release on October 7 via Grand Central Publishing, Ozzy’s final memoir “Last Rites” is being described as a “fearlessly raw…shocking, bitterly hilarious” look into the last seven years and the health issues that ultimately caused him to hang it all up. Included will be stories about his marriage with Sharon, his time with various rock and roll icons, and reflections on the ‘Back to the Beginning’ show that took place last weekend.

“People say to me, if you could do it all again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything? I’m, like, fuck no. If I’d been clean and sober, I wouldn’t be Ozzy. If I’d done normal, sensible things, I wouldn’t be Ozzy. Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can’t complain. I’ve been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I’ve done good… and I’ve done bad. But right now, I’m not ready to go anywhere.”

This will be Ozzy’s first memoir since the release of his 2009 title “I Am Ozzy.”
