Olivia Rodrigo stopped her show mid-song to get aid to a fan in the crowd.

On Tuesday (April 12), the 19-year-old hit-maker played Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colo. as part of her sold-out SOUR Tour.

Rodrigo was performing her ballad “Traitor” at her piano when she suddenly stopped the show to get assistance to a fan in the crowd.

“Sorry, could we stop for a second? Is everyone okay over there? Do you need help? Can you get them some help over there?” the musician asked her crew after spotting a group of fans in the middle of the audience frantically waving their phones, their flashlight apps seemingly active.

Security guards appeared to help a young woman out of the crowd.

“Is everyone else good?” Rodrigo asked afterward, prompting a thumbs up from a security guard or police officer on site. The singer then started the song back up again.

Fans on social media have speculated that there might have been a medical emergency in the crowd, and praised Rodrigo for staying alert.

There’s been an increase in conversations among concertgoers and lawmakers regarding how responsible an artist or band and their crew are for their crowd’s safety.

In the wake of the Astroworld tragedy that left 10 dead and numerous people injured, many criticized Travis Scott for encouraging his crowd to get rowdy. Many were shocked he didn’t stop his show sooner, especially when ambulances attempted to drive into the audience.
