Hip Hop

Justice served.

After six hours of deliberation, a L.A. jury convicted Eric Holder Jr. of first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of rapper Nipsey Hussle.

The LA Times reports Holder, 32, was also convicted with two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter as well as assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon when he shot two bystanders. He was originally charged with attempted murder of those two victims. Last week, the two-week long trial was delayed for a day after Holder was brutally attacked by inmates in a holding cell. His injuries required three staples in the back of his head.

On March 31, 2019, Eric Holder Jr. fatally shot Nipsey Hussle outside The Marathon Clothing store in South Central, Los Angeles. Nipsey was 33. Holder will be sentenced at a later date and is facing life in prison.
