Muni Long Enlists Luke James for ‘Made for Me’ Video

R&B

Grammy-winning singer Muni Long has unleashed the official video for her latest single “Made For Me.”

The cinematic visual, directed by Des Gray and Trinidad James, co-stars fellow R&B singer Luke James.

In the sci-fi clip, Long orchestrates a plan to build a replica of an ideal man (James), who is already taken. She doesn’t break up a happy home, per se. You’ll have to watch the video to see how it unfolds.

Regarding the video, Long explains, “I wanted to have fun with this video and really think outside of the box. It’s my little nod to A.I. mixed with Frankenstein. If you want to find the perfect person in a limited dating pool, you might just have to create them! It’s only science fiction for now but with how fast technology is changing could this be our reality someday?”

“Made For Me” is currently No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart dated Jan. 20.

In December, the nostalgic track, produced by Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox and Jordan XL, reached No. 1 at R&B radio. It marked Long’s first chart-topper on this airplay format.

“Made For Me” is the lead single from Long’s forthcoming album, set to release later this year on Supergiant Records/Def Jam Recordings.

The untitled project will follow 2022’s Public Displays of Affection: The Albumwhich included her Grammy-winning ballad “Hrs & Hrs.”

In June 2023, Long released her Usher-assisted “Hrs & Hrs (Remix).”
