Lucky Daye Shares New Song ‘NWA’ Featuring Lil Durk, Announces ‘Candydrip’ Album Release Date

R&B

Best known for his Grammy-nominated Painted album, Lucky Daye has finally set a release date for his sophomore effort Candydrip. It’ll be out March 10, a week ahead of his headlining Candy Drip Tour

Along with revealing the date of the album, Daye has shared a track titled “NWA” featuring Lil Durk.

“NWA,” produced by D’Mile, is the third song shared from Candydrip.

In a tweet leading up to the new single, Daye teased details surrounding Candydrip, writing, “I GOT 17 songs, 2 features.”

It’s safe to say that Lil Durk, who raps about his “top tier b*tch” on Daye’s latest, is one of two guest appearances on the forthcoming LP.

The album’s first single, “Over,” was introduced last September along with the companion video. Earlier this month, the Musiq Soulchild-sampled track cemented Daye a top 20 single (No. 14) on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

When Daye rolled out the Candydrip announcement in December, he released its title track as the second single.

Around this time, Daye lent his talents to several artists, including Alicia KeysKhalidNao, and Col3trane

He also assisted behind the boards on Mary J. Blige’s self-love anthem “Good Morning Gorgeous.” The single, co-produced by H.E.R. and D’Mile, recently reached number one at R&B radio.

In other news, Daye is nominated for two 2022 Grammys, including Best Progressive R&B Album for Table For Two and Best Traditional R&B Performance for “How Much Can A Heart Take” with Yebba.
