Leon Thomas has teamed up with fellow singer-songwriters Muni Long and Marsha Ambrosius for the remix of his single “Yes It Is.”

The revamped version of the yearning ballad features a fresh verse from Long, with additional background vocals by Ambrosius. Long appears in the second verse, where she tells off a vindictive ex.

“Now you comin’ for my commas / You my little baby mama / Tellin’ people that I’m crazy / When you left me with a baby,” she sings.

The original version of “Yes It Is” appears on Thomas’ sophomore album,MUTT, released Sept. 27, 2024, via EZMNY Records/Motwon. The song has over 38 million streams on Spotify and is the second-most-streamed song from the album behind his breakout hit and title track.

On Thursday (Sept. 4) night, Thomas was honored with the Breakthrough of the Year Award at Billboard‘s 2025 R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event. “This has been 22 years in the making, and a lot of talks I had with God are a big part of my journey,” Thomas said during his acceptance speech.

“Yes It Is (Remix)” is Long’s second collaboration of 2025, following “Black & White” with Teddy Swims. On Valentine’s Day, she released her sultry standalone track “Slow Grind.”

Ambrosius releasedCASABLANCO, her first album in six years, in June 2024. The Dr. Dre-produced album included the singles “The Greatest,” “One Night Stand” and “Greedy.”
