Lendryx Shares New Song ‘Halfway Open’

R&B

Alabama-born singer Lendryx has returned with his new single “Halfway Open.” The self-penned track was produced by Yogic Beats and Jameel “Jproof” Roberts.

On “Halfway Open,” Lendryx tells a prospective lover — who isn’t ready for a committed relationship just yet — that he’s willing to take things extra slow. While Silk Sonic vowed to “Leave the Door Open,” Lendryx is fine with it being ajar.

“Just give a little of your loving / And I’ll stay, baby / There’s so much love inside you / I’ll wait ’til it’s time,” he sings on the soul-baring tune.

Speaking on “Halfway Open,” Lendryx shares: “I had so much fun creating this record, grinning the entire way through writing and recording. There’s even a little rap section that I love. ‘Situationships’ have a poor reputation, so I wanted to share a positive perspective for everyone, even if it doesn’t end the way we want it to.”

“Halfway Open” is the follow-up to Lendryx’s 2023 tracks “Just My Turn,” “Forces” and “Insomnia.”
