Before 2023 ends, Layton Greene treats her fans to a new song titled “Cinderella Story,” produced by G Styles on the Track.
On the piano-driven track, Greene divulges what she seeks from a future lover.
She sings in the first verse: “I ain’t lookin’ for the perfect dude / I don’t need you to know everything, it’s way too hard to / All I need is a man who got some patience in him / Takes time to understand me, even when he don’t get it.”
Regarding the track, Green says, “My supporters have literally been begging for ‘Cinderella Story’! I’m so happy the time is here. It’s been a long time coming, but I feel it’s the perfect time, and I’m so excited to see how everyone will receive it!”
“Cinderella Story” is Greene’s third song release of the year. In April, she broke her musical silence with “Spin Again,” her first song in two years.
Greene shared, “It’s been a whirlwind of emotions for me. I’m so excited to be making my comeback, it’s been a long time coming! ‘Spin Again’ is showing a different side of me, grown and sexy. I can’t wait to see how people receive it.”
In October, Greene followed up with “Something,” produced by The Breed.
All three songs are expected to appear on Greene’s new project, due in 2024 via Quality Control Music/Motown Records.
Her upcoming project will follow her debut EP, Tell Ya Story.
