Ms. Lauryn Hill has announced new dates for the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour.

According to a post on social media from Hill, the award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer will be touring with her Fugees collaborators, Wyclef Jean and Pras, for an additional 10 shows.

The North American leg begins Oct. 13 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and runs through Dec. 13 in Boston. Several dates are sold out in certain cities, including Brooklyn, New York; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Los Angeles; Oakland, California; and Seattle.

Ms. Lauryn Hill announced her Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour in August, just days before the album’s milestone anniversary (Aug. 25).

She plans to perform the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (diamond-certified album) in its entirety, including the popular songs “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and “Ex-Factor.”

Ms. Lauryn Hill reflected on the anniversary in a lengthy Instagram post. “25 years ago today, the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was released to the world. Despite early skepticism about how well it would do after the Fugees’ groundbreaking The Score, it did VERY well! Enormously well. Perhaps even more importantly, the album served as part of the soundtrack of 90’s music that would help encourage and guide a generation,” she wrote.

She continued, “I grew up loving music, particularly the music that was commonly referred to as ‘oldies’ or ‘golden oldies’, ‘classics’. This constituted the Doo Wop, Gospel-inspired Soul music, and rock classics that my parents grew up on. To me, these records were new despite being vintage. They were topical, melodically sophisticated and romantic. They incited joy and tenderness but often introspection and inspiration to action. In 1998 it was my turn to make a record, and I wanted to join as many aspects of my musical upbringing and perspective as possible for that time. I had the support and aid of several brilliant and talented people, who if they didn’t play an instrument or sing, were brilliant in supporting, encouraging, and moving with the urgency necessary to help a movement take root, and an album become a classic. I am forever grateful for all of them.”

Ms. Lauryn Hill performed at festivals and Australia dates during September and October. Grammy-winning reggae artist Koffee was a special guest for the latter shows in Australia.

Earlier this year, Ms. Lauryn Hill performed at several major events, such as Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman Festival, Roots Picnic, and Hip-Hop 50 Live. At the second event, she was joined by the Fugees, and she appeared as a guest during Nas’ set at the latter.
