The gleaming tune finds Wray feeling liberated and joyful as she soaks up the sun. “I feel like loving under the sun / I feel so good under the sun,” Wray sings.
“I wrote ‘Under The Sun’ thinking of summertime and all its perks,” Wray explained to Rated R&B. When I first heard the production, I immediately thought of warm weather and partying with my friends — just letting go and having a good time. I’m so happy to get this out because we need great, feel good music these days. Something to make good memories to.”
“Under the Sun” is lifted from Wray’s upcoming album, Piece of Me, which is set to release on January 28, 2022 via Big Crown Records. It will include the previously shared title track and “Games People Play.”
