Kiss singer and guitarist Paul Stanley, who in August contracted Covid-19 (resulting in the postponement of several shows), has again tested positive for the virus.
The 69-year-old musician revealed the news on his own social media along with a selfie, adding:
“My Omicron face! Yup. My entire family has it. I’m tired and have sniffles. Most of my family have absolutely no symptoms. Do as you choose. I’m so glad I’m vaccinated.”
At the time of his previous infection Stanley also thanked the vaccine for making his symptoms less intense, saying, “My COVID symptoms were MILD compared to many others and let me tell you… It kicked my ass.”
Stanley’s Kiss bandmate Gene Simmons tested positive during the summer wave as well. Stanley’s longtime guitar tech, Francis Stueber, died in October of Covid, and some of his co-workers blasted the band for “lax” Covid-19 protocols on tour (the band defended their policies).
Stanley’s father died in November at 101 years old. The death stirred up animosity between Paul and his sister, who said of her brother, “I hope he goes to hell.”
