King Woman’s “Boghz” is Another Stunner

Metal

The press release for King Woman’s latest single, “Boghz,” says that the track is the “final preview” of the band’s upcoming album, Celestial Blues, which is due at the end of this month. But I’ve heard enough, frankly; between this song and the previous two singles, “Psychic Wound” and “Morning Star,” I can confidently say the album is going to end up on my year-end list of 2021 favorites! I can’t wait to hear the rest.

King Woman king woman Kris Esfandiari explains of the new track:

“It’s a tragic story about one ancient soul split in two separate bodies. Only knowing a sick and twisted version of love, one half nearly destroys the other. It’s about being at the mercy of a sadistic person who you have an undeniable psychic bond with.”

Woof. Been there. We all have.

Give “Boghz” a listen below. Celestial Blues comes out on July 30 via Relapse; pre-order here.
