KILL SCREEN: The Lost Levels // Members of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, TOMB MOLD, UNDEATH And More Talk Horror Games (Video Premiere)

Metal

Even with Kill Screen’s already hefty word count—one that rivals a typical Decibel cover story feature—a lot of really great anecdotes unfortunately never see the light of day. Rather than leaving it undiscovered, we here at Decibel’s nerdiest column are overly eager to present Kill Screen: The Lost Levels, much-needed editorial DLC to supplement your unhealthy gaming appetite with no microtransactions. Each edition will focus on a single theme with our debut tackling a topic near and dear to our cold, sun-deprived little hearts: Horror games. From AAA titans such as the Resident Evil and Silent Hill franchises to underground indie gems like Anatomy and Nun Massacre, this column’s co-nerds are always dying for a chance to gush about the latest and greatest in digital dread. In the spirit of the spookiest (and arguably most metal) season, we’ve taken the opportunity to put together a collection of some of our favorite horror game conversations with members of The Black Dahlia Murder, Tomb Mold, Undeath, Outer Heaven and more—including never-before-seen footage and resurrected stories that previously fell victim to the editor’s cutting block. And for all of you out there too scared to read another deep dive, fret not—by popular demand, this compilation is brought to you in video format. Enjoy the first (and hopefully not last) installment of Kill Screen: The Lost Levels.
