Kerry King’s Already Planning His Second Solo Album

Metal

His debut solo album From Hell May Rise is headed for release this Friday, but Slayer guitarist Kerry King is already looking ahead to its eventual follow-up. The news came about from an interview King did with The Aquarian, in which he said he wants to get back in the studio as soon as he’s done touring.

“I said to Paul [Bostaph, drummer for Slayer and King’s solo band], ‘I want to go immediately into the studio and bang out record two afterward.

“When you’re fresh off the tour and sharp, you can do a super quick performance because we’ll all be rehearsed on it. That’s the plan.

“I’ve got everything in place to make that happen now. We’re going to be on tour and I can work on lyrics for pieces that aren’t finished yet. Hopefully everything will be done by the time the tour’s done.”

King’s solo band is comprised of the man himself, along with Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph, ex-Hellyeah bassist Kyle Sanders, and ex-Vio-lence guitarist Phil Demmel.

From Hell I Rise will have 13 new tracks and will be released on May 17, but you can pre-order your copy today.
