Singer Keithian has released his new single, “Ways.”
On the thumping track, Keithian sings about a partner who seemingly no longer wants to subscribe to casual encounters and wants to see them progress further.
“Ways” is about the feeling you have when you are in an entanglement that is headed to a relationship,” Keithian says.
“You are on the fence, enjoying your time, but there are obstacles that are unexplainable, so you end up being honest about how you’ve been feeling. I wrote this record because I needed to put my feelings on the line. I needed to understand if the feelings I was having were mutual and I found out that they were, but with limitations.”
“Ways” is Keithian’s lead single from his upcoming EP, Human. The new record is the follow-up to his 2022 project, Green Clouds, released last April to coincide with Earth Day.
Green Clouds included the singles “Chance?,” “Go Bae,” and “Guaranteed.”
About the latter track, Keithian said it was based on a true story. “She never was available for me and straddled the fence with our relationship. We had an incredible connection and had an amazing time when we were together, but she had walls & major boundaries on our status,” he explained.
Keithian will support his new single and previous releases as a special guest on Vedo’s Mood Swings Tour. The 14-date tour starts on May 4 at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, Michigan, and runs until May 23 at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco, California. Tickets are available now.
