R&B

Kehlani is rolling in seven new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Three collaborations have resulted in gold awards, including the Keyshia Cole-featured “All Me,” the Dom Kennedy-assisted “Nunya,” and “Can I,” featuring a Canadian native.

Kehlani’s 2015 mixtape, You Should Be Here, also received a gold plaque. It made Grammy history as the first mixtape to be recognized for Best Urban Contemporary Album (now named Best Progressive R&B Album).

“Nights Like This” featuring Ty Dolla $ign is now double platinum. The song first struck gold in May 2019 and hit platinum status two months later. It appears on her most recent album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t

Another Grammy-nominated recording to obtain an RIAA plaque is “Distraction.” It is now a platinum single. They also secured a platinum honor for “Good Life” with G-Eazy.

In recent months and weeks, Kehlani has teamed up with Amorphous (“Back Together”), T-Pain (“I Like Dat”), and Pink Sweat$ (“At Your Worst (Remix)”) for new tunes.
