Kanye West claims he and Bianca Censori “beat the Grammys” with naked dress stunt

Kanye West has claimed that he and his wife Bianca Censori “beat the Grammys” following the latter’s naked dress stunt at this year’s ceremony.

During the red carpet for the 67th Grammy Awards – which was held in Los Angeles this past weekend (February 2) – Censori arrived with Ye and turned up in a fur coat, which she then dropped to reveal an almost entirely see-through dress with no undergarments underneath.

The couple left the event shortly afterwards, with West later confirming that they had done so of their own volition and hadn’t been escorted out.

It was said that this was designed to replicate the album cover of ‘Vultures 1’, Ye’s collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign, and unsurprisingly was met with shock on social media and some expressing concern for Censori’s welfare.

Now, while making his way to a recording studio in Los Angeles on Tuesday (February 4), the ‘All Of The Lights’ hitmaker told paparazzi to “Ask me how it was to beat the Grammys.”

The photographer repeated the question with Ye responding “We beat the Grammys,” while Censori laughed.

A paparazzi also asked him “How’s the tour coming?”, to which he replied: “It’s coming”.

Ye had previously taken to his Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of Google search analytics which allegedly showed that Censori’s name was trending online around the world.

“WE BEAT THE GRAMMIES (sic),” Ye wrote (via Music News). “FOR CLARITY FEBRUARY 4TH 2025 MY WIFE IS THE MOST GOOGLED PERSON ON THE PLANET CALLED EARTH,” he added.

Recently, a producer for the Grammys spoke out about Censori’s controversial dress. Speaking to People, executive producer Raj Kapoor said that while there is an “artistic black-tie” dress code that guests must adhere to, there may have been a loophole as, “in the music industry, I guess that’s up for interpretation.”

Kapoor continued: “Obviously there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices. But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the [Recording] Academy [presents the Grammys] would have to answer.”

On the night, Ye was nominated for Best Rap Song (‘Carnival’ with Ty Dolla $ign and Rich The Kid feat. Playboi Carti) at this year’s event but lost out to Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Not Like Us’.

The stunt wasn’t the first time that the couple have made headlines together, as back in 2023 police in Venice investigated an “indecent” public incident on a boat involving the pair.

It has since been reported that Censori would not be facing any legal action for wearing a see-through outfit to the Grammys. It had been suggested that Censori’s outfit could count as indecent exposure but according to TMZ, LAPD sources confirmed that there will be no legal consequences from the stunt. This is because the Grammy Awards is a private event and no one from the show made a complaint to the police.
