Kaash Paige Drops New EP ‘KAASHMYCHECKS’

R&B

Genre-bending artist Kaash Paige has released her new project KAASHMYCHECKSvia Rostrum Records.

The six-track set, preceded by “2BADBITCHES,” is packed with confident trunk-rattling bangers that let Kaash get some melodic raps off her chest.

“My alter ego loves the thrill — lust, attention, desire, all of it. But deep down, I know too much indulgence makes the soul starve,” she says. “What feeds the ego doesn’t always feed the spirit, and KAASHMYCHECKS is me exploring that tension.”

The Juicy J-assisted “Pimp Daddy” is driven by a knocking beat that carries the same weight as Waka Flocka Flame’s “Hard in Da Paint.”

Alt-R&B sensation PHABO links up with Kaash on “P4P,” where they splurge on rendezvous. Kaash raps, “I pay for the p**sy, I swear / I swear I don’t even care / Nah, f**k that get it for free / She just wanna h-o-e.”

“P4P” arrives with an Alex Fowler-directed visual that is reminiscent of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Otis” video.

Even though Kaash is fully committed to her alter ego on this project, songs like “Demon Time,” where she layers her vocals in the ad-libs, and “Whole Lotta Swag,” where she toggles between singing and rapping, prove that R&B is still in her.

KAASHMYCHECKSfollows the Dallas native’s 2024 projectCatch Me While I Care. The independently released set marked her first project since releasing her sophomore album, S2ML, in 2022 via Def Jam Recordings. The LP included the 6LACK-assisted “Miss My Dawgs” and “24 Hrs” featuring Lil Tjay.

Before that, the “Love Songs” singer released her debut album,Teenage Fever,in 2020.
