Joe Kay, DJ and Soulection Founder, Drops New Song ‘Slow It Down’

R&B

Joe Kay, DJ and founder of Soulection, has dropped his debut single, “Slow It Down,” featuring R&B singer Isaiah Falls and indie band Cruza

The velvety track was produced by D’Mile, Julian Sago, Charity Joy Brown, and AJ Thomas.

Lyrically, “Slow It Down” paints a story of being overwhelmingly infatuated with someone special. “She a bad gal and she know it / Ain’t afraid show it now / Moving too fast, but I’m focused / Maybe we should slow it down,” sings Adam Kain, Cruza’s vocalist.

Falls appears in the second verse, singing, “Baby, I need morе / Need more than drugs to get me by /  Kissing on 95 / Cars flying by / Baby, I need you morе.”

“‘Slow It Down’ marks the start of a new chapter for me — an evolution beyond DJing into fully stepping into my own sound as a true tastemaker and artist,” says Kay.

He continues, “With D’Mile, Isaiah Falls, and Cruza, the track blends classic R&B with a modern yet timeless feeling, embodying Soulection’s signature sound. This single is just the beginning of what’s coming next.”

As Kay indicated, “Slow It Down” is the first single from his upcoming EP that will release via Soulection Records/COLTURE.
