Rising singer Jaz Karis has returned with her new single “Therapy.”
Produced by Prodigal Sons, “Therapy” is a bittersweet breakup anthem that hears Karis singing about wanting to move on from a relationship but can’t shake off lingering feelings.
“I’m so over being free, over therapy / Don’t want to be with you, I want you to feel her / God I miss you babe, damn, I miss your face / But I don’t wanna worry again,” Karis sings.
Speaking on “Therapy,” Karis tells Rated R&B, “Sometimes you have to just do what you want. I wrote this song like it was an actual therapy session, things I’d most probably never have the guts to say in real life and it felt great to get it off my chest.”
“Therapy” is Karis’ 2022 EP, Dear Jaz. The project included popular tracks such as “Side of You” and “Options.”
Before that, in 2020, the South London singer released an EP titled All Eyes on U. The closing track, “Let Me Down,” has more than eight million streams on Spotify.
