Jaz Karis and Tone Stith Share New Song ‘Met You at a Bar’

R&B

Emerging singer Jaz Karis has linked with Tone Stith for her new single “Met You at a Bar.”

On the Prodigal Sons-produced track, the two sing about a newfound relationship that ultimately becomes stagnant.

“‘’Met You at a Bar’ for me is really a depiction of a lot of dating experiences in my generation,” Karis shares.

She continues, “It’s full of romance and sweet nothings but ultimately doesn’t lead to anything serious because of the lack of trust between two people. Sonically, we wanted it to feel warm and inviting, but the conversation between me and Tone remains bittersweet.”

“Met You at a Bar” arrives with a video, directed by Daisy Maskell and Anastasia Liasi, which can be viewed below.

“Met You at a Bar” is Karis’ first single of 2024 and the follow-up to last year’s “Therapy,” “Back 2 U” and “Little Blue Moon.”

Regarding the latter track, Karis explained: “‘Little Blue Moon’ was a conversation between me and God. Knowing someone loves you unconditionally is a beautiful thing and this song is my token of appreciation for that.”

Karis hasn’t confirmed if there is a new project on the way. Her last EP, Dear Jaz, was self-released in November 2022. The seven-track project included “Side of You,” which has over 7.7 million streams on Spotify.

As for Stith, the New Jersey native will join Omarion’s Vbz on Vbz TourThe 20-city outing begins April 5 in Grand Prairie, Texas, and concludes May 19 in Atlanta, Georgia. He will be supporting his 2023 EP, P.O.V., which includes the singles “Girls Like You” and “I Need You.”
