Rising singer J. Brown just released a new album, The Art Of Making Love, via MochaMusic/SRG-ILS Group.
The 12-track album includes previously released tracks “123 Fourplay” and the Kevin Ross-assisted “Weightless.” The latter song, released as the second offering, was written and produced by Ross.
The Art Of Making Love features the freshly-released lead single, “My Whole Heart,” produced by Carvin Haggins and Giancarlo “EVO” Evola.
The guitar-heavy song delves into strategies for winning and maintaining the affection of a stubborn woman who has clearly been hurt before and is wary of further pain.
Regarding his new single, J. Brown says, “When we created ‘My Whole Heart,’ we wanted to come up with a song that would show a woman how much she means to me. It was something that we all felt was missing in R&B at the moment when we started this project. I wanted the person listening, to feel the raw emotions being delivered and I truly hope the song resonates with them.”
As previously reported, J. Brown sent his song “My Whole Heart” to R&B radio weeks before the release of his album The Art Of Making Love. This strategy has paid off as the song has debuted at No. 21 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart this week.
Along with the new album, J. Brown unveiled the video for “My Whole Heart.” Michael Vaughn Hernandez directed the passionate video that features J. Brown and Courtney Rae Allen as his love interest. The video can be watched below.
The Art of Making Love marks J. Brown’s sophomore album. This album comes after last year’s Chapter & Verses, which featured the song “Don’t Rush” with Tank. The collaboration between the two artists resulted in a top 10 spot on the Adult R&B chart, reaching No. 7.
