Israeli Thrash Band Sinnery Dropped a Twisted Animated Video for Their Latest Single “Somber”

Metal

And now, for some extreme metal hailing from the Middle East, we’ve got Israeli thrash metal outfit Sinnery. Hailing from Tel Aviv, the four-piece have a new EP coming out on September 29 titled Below the Summit. To mark the occasion, the band released the EP’s second single and its accompanying music video, “Somber.”

Right from the get-go, the track is heavy, fast and mean as frontman Alon Karnieli shrieks out a line about burying your mother. According to the band, the concept for the track came from Mark Manson’s book The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck and as such, it’s exactly the kind of kick in the pants they wanted to start the EP with.

“‘Somber’ was the first song we wrote for the EP. We wanted a ferocious track combining everything we knew how to play up until that point in time. Musically, it’s probably one of the fastest, heaviest tracks we ever did. Lyrically, it’s about growing & emerging out of the soil and dirt that life can be for so many. It’s about dealing with some of the toughest issues in our lives.”

Below The Summit is due out on September 29 via Exitus Stratagem Records. You can check out the video below, as well as a list of European tour dates coming up.
