Inayah Shares New Album ‘Wait, There’s More’: Stream

R&B

Rising singer and songwriter Inayah has released her new album, Wait, There’s More, via Inayahlator Enterprises/EMPIRE.

The 10-track, genre-bending set explores the various facets of Inayah’s artistry. In the opening track, “Glory,” Inayah gives praise to her Higher Power. “Giving honor to God who’s the head of my life / I shoulda never doubted when you said it would all be alright,” she sings.

The previously shared singles “Hot Sauce” and “For The Streets” are middle fingers to a no-good lover. “I had your picture on my mirror / I took that sh*t down / Finally see that you been a clown,” she sings in the latter track, which flips Fantasia‘s 2006 classic “When I See U.”

On “Pacquiao,” titled after retired boxer Manny Pacquiao, Inyah channels her inner rapper. Here, she spits rhymes about a guy who is all talk but can’t back it up in the bedroom. “Said you was gon’ work me out like a 9 to 5 / Where your stamina? / Running your mouthpiece / You just rambling,” Inayah raps over a trunk-rattling production by Sak Pase.

“Pretty Girls” is a Jersey club-tinged bop that serves as a confidence-boosting anthem to women dealing with heartbreak. “Pressure” is another twerk-worthy banger that incorporates a New Orleans bounce beat in its production.

Speaking on Wait, There’s More, Inayah shares: “I am so sure about this body of work. It’s about reclaiming my time. It’s confident, fearless, in your face, undeniable and disruptive. There is a song on the album for everyone.”

Wait, There’s More is the follow-up to Inayah’s sophomore album, Insecure, released in 2022. The latter project, which included the single “Most Girlz,” featured an appearance from Oscar-nominated songwriter and singer DIXSON

Inayah released her debut album, S.O.L.A.R., in 2019. The album included her hit single “Best Thing,” which was certified platinum in September 2023.
