Horsewhip Announce US Tour to Support ‘Consume and Burn’

Metal

Florida-based hardcore bands Horsewhip and Domain recently announced a tour of the US together with Horsewhip headlining. Frankly, if I lived in Florida, I’d be eager to travel outside of the state, too. The tour starts in Melbourne, Florida on March 20 before the band escapes the state and heads north to Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and even as far north as Providence, Rhode Island. The tour eventually finishes back in Jacksonville, Florida.

For right now, only the cities and dates have been announced, with no mention of the venues or where to get tickets until next week. The band also mentioned in the comments section of their Instagram post that they’ll be adding a Norfolk, Virginia date at some point. The tour is presented by 1000 Knives and Iodine Recordings.

Horsewhip are touring to support their recent full-length LP Consume and Burn, although the album certainly stretches the definition of full-length. With only eight tracks that clock in for a total of 19 minutes, Consume and Burn is done faster than a teenage boy losing his virginity.

Describing the album in an Instagram post, Horsewhip have this to say:

“Their new full-length LP Consume and Burn is an uncompromising sonic odyssey. Horsewhip merges together the darkest corners of hardcore punk, screamo, and metal into their own vision of annihilation. Comprised of members of Reversal of Man, Combatwoundedveteran, Sutek Conspiracy and a myriad of other acts, it’s an album that shows the band’s pedigree in writing heavy music. But more than anything, there’s a clear hunger to push the genre forward with each song.”

Check out the complete list of dates for the Consume and Burn tour below, minus the Norfolk show as a date has yet to be announced.
