Headbanger’s Boat Returns to Miami Following Overboard Passenger Incident

The Norwegian Pearl, home to the Headbangers Boat cruise, just returned to port in Miami after a missing passenger went overboard.

The man who is missing from the cruise was 41 years old, and as we initially reported, he went overboard early on November 3. The boat, which is from the Norwegian Cruise Line, was the host site for Lamb Of God‘s Headbangers Boat Cruise featuring bands like Hatebreed, Mastodon, Testament, and GWAR.

There was a search for the missing passenger spanning nine hours, and during that time, some people on the boat claimed the trip was to continue. However, that information was allegedly not confirmed or verified, and the ship ultimately decided to return to port.

In the wake of what happened, Lamb of God released a statement offering condolences to the affected friends and family.

“We’re deeply saddened to have learned that a member of our community was involved in a tragic incident. Sending love and light to their family and loved ones.”

Riki Rachtman, host of Headbangers Ball and co-host of the boat, shared a video, which you can check out below, where he talks about what happened on the boat first-hand.

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the missing passenger and those who were impacted by this tragedy.
