Halle Bailey’s ‘In Your Hands’ Lands Top 5 Debut on Billboard

R&B

Halle Bailey’s new single “In Your Hands” has debuted on multiple Billboard charts this week.

The heartwarming song opens at No. 3 on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, currently led by Muni Long’s “Made For Me.” It’s Halle’s second top 5 solo hit on this chart. Her solo debut single, “Angel,” bowed at No. 2 last August.

Elsewhere on Billboard, “In Your Hands” is No. 9 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and No. 14 on the Hot R&B Songs charts.

The latter chart, led by SZA’s “Snooze” for a 32nd week, ranks songs by streaming activity data, radio airplay audience impressions and sales data, according to Billboard.

“In Your Hands” was released March 15 via Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records, a year after Halle first teased the track on TikTok

“‘In Your Hands’ is an incredibly special song to me. It’s basically a message about fighting for a love that you know is an incredibly beautiful one-of-a-kind love, but also a reminder to that special someone that your love has changed their life and is something they won’t experience in this lifetime again,” Halle said about the song’s meaning.

She added, “It’s a love song but also an empowerment song to ourselves, and a reminder that we are a one of a kind special being and that we’re worth more than all the diamonds and gold in the world.”

As indicated above, “In Your Hands” is Halle’s second official single following 2023’s “Angel.” Halle hasn’t announced if the two songs will appear on a future project.
