Grace Weber Wants to Get ‘Intimate’ on New Song

R&B

Emerging R&B singer Grace Weber has released her new song “Intimate,” her second track of 2023.

Produced by Akeel Henry, “Intimate” is Weber’s invitation to a love interest to spend quality time together. While the velvety tune sets a romantic ambiance for the bedroom, it extends beyond the sheets.

“‘Intimate’ is about wanting to get close to someone, letting all your walls down, and then getting scared that they’ll leave,” Weber exclusively tells Rated R&B. “That’s what the second half of the song is…like being aware of my anxieties and ‘I swear I’ll try to be stronger, but my mind wins the race, and I can’t slow it down, would you stick around til’ the darkness, fades away?”

She continues, “Ultimately, it’s about the layers of just getting extremely close and knowing you can’t get ‘unclose’ when you become that intimate with someone. It’s always the space you two exist in, even if you don’t end up together.”

“Insecure” is Weber’s second song release of 2023. In March, she released her self-love anthem “Lonely,” also produced by Henry. “‘Lonely’ is about being confident to love yourself. I think sometimes there can be a little fear or timidness around loving yourself — or you feel like you don’t deserve it,” Weber told Rated R&B

Both songs and 2022’s “Insincere” will appear on Weber’s upcoming sophomore album, due this fall.

The impending project will follow her 2021 debut, A Beautiful Spacewhich was reissued later that year with a deluxe edition

A Beautiful Space included features from Chance the Rapper, Westside Boogie, Sun Scott, and Nico Segal.
