Gatecreeper are already darlings of the death metal world, and now they’ve officially announced that their next album will be produced by Kurt Ballou.
Ballou, of Converge fame and known for coaching many bands to greatness as a collaborative producer, is working with the band and overseeing their recording at his studio, God City studio, in Salem, MA.
This will be their first full length since their lauded 2019 album, Deserted, which was released via Relapse Records. They also came out with an EP, An Unexpected Reality, via Closed Casket Activities in 2021.
If these previous efforts are any indication, we can’t wait to see what the new material sounds like now that they’ve stepped up their game even more.
