From juicy stills to one of the most thrilling trailers of the season, Found Season 2 is coming out swinging, and it’ll all start with a season premiere that will have us all holding our breaths in anticipation of what’s to come.
After all, Found left us with one hell of a cliffhanger that was the epitome of a game-changer.
A Family Fractured; Mosely & Associates is in Shambles
Secrets, secrets are no fun, especially when they can rip your found family apart.
And Gabi’s secret about what she did with Sir DEFINITELY tore her family apart.
In the season premiere, everyone is still reeling from her admission, and the firm’s fate hangs in the balance.
It wouldn’t be surprising if the opener revealed that the firm as we know it is at a crossroads, and Gabi will have to figure out where a company she considers her calling will go from here.
Sadly, no one trusts her anymore after her admission, and they’re judging her too.
But it’s interesting that not only do we have characters like Maggie and Zeke processing the horrific news of Gabi’s actions, but Dhan is also in a difficult position.
As the one person Gabi enlisted to help her catch Sir and the one who discovered what she’d been doing with the man for nine months, Dhan’s loyalty to Gabi may easily be read as disloyal to the others.
The team is fractured.
Dhan is equally as peeved with Gabi but still willing to stand by her side, while the others are likely less inclined to do so.
That drives a wedge between Gabi and the rest of the team and between Dhan and the others.
Can Trauma and Tragedy Bring the Team Together or Foster More Resentment and Anger?
Lacy’s disappearance has the ability to bring the team together in the aftermath of Gabi’s revelation.
However, it could also tear the team further apart.
It’s highly unlikely that when the news breaks about Lacey, the others won’t exclusively blame Gabi for what has transpired.
It’s understandable for them to do so.
If Gabi hadn’t imprisoned Sir and goad him on in some capacity, he probably wouldn’t have tracked Lacey down on his own and done something to her.
But whether the team blames Gabi or not, they won’t be any harder on her than she is with herself, and that’s probably the worst part of all.
We’ll have to keep our fingers crossed that these people can somehow forgive and come together for the sake of one of their own in Found Season 2.
Sir is On the Loose, and He’s Ready to Play
Sir, being on the loose is another game-changer for the series.
Even outside of the fact that he’s clearly taken Lacey, he’s determined to play games with Gabi and relishes getting into her head.
It seems the hour will likely focus on everyone working to find Lacey.
However, to do that, they’ll need to track down Sir, and he’s not easy to find.
It took Dhan a long time to find Sir the first time around, so given the circumstances, Sir will learn from his mistakes and be better than ever at only making himself available and known if he feels like it.
The trailer certainly reveals that Sir will make himself known on his own terms, and he’s intent on playing a cat-and-mouse game with Gabi, as his obsession with her can’t keep him away for long.
Will Finding Lacey Force Gabi to Tell Trent the Truth During Found Season 2 Episode 1?
Another aspect of Lacey’s disappearance is that she must involve the police.
And we know that Trent is sure to follow where Gabi is, and he’ll have a vested interest in wanting to help her however he can.
But would that mean that Gabi has to confess to him about Sir, what she’s done all of this time, and how she may have instigated Lacey’s abduction?
Gabi is already intent on getting the truth off her chest, which makes one believe that she’ll have to confess to Trent at some point.
However, what will it mean for the future if she admits to a crime and Trent, a noble officer, feels morally obligated to take her in for it?
Hopefully, the season premiere will address that, and based on a juicy interaction between Trent and Gabi in the trailer, we know it’ll come at some point.
It’ll be difficult for Gabi to control how much information she gives Trent when what she does and doesn’t tell him could be life or death for Lacey.
The Key to Finding Lacey May Be Her Past
Interestingly enough, the synopsis teases that there will be flashbacks to Lacey’s childhood in the season premiere.
One can only assume that they’ll be tied to her time in captivity to make sense of Sir, where he took her, and the best way to find her.
Or maybe they’ll be leading up to when Sir abducted her in the first place.
Nevertheless, we have experienced many flashbacks to Gabi’s past, often including Lacey.
It’s a refreshing change to get some flashbacks to Lacey’s past.
Will this mean that the series could potentially opt to explore the other characters’ past as well?
Lacey May Not be the Only One in Danger During Found Season Episode 1
One of the most nerve-wracking stills NBC released features Zeke lying on the ground in the middle of his apartment.
Another one shows Dhan there, appearing to give him CPR, which would suggest that something terrible happens to Zeke.
We also see many images of the police appearing to search through a location, and at one point, they’re staring into the trunk of a car.
It’s possible that Gabi picks up a case while trying to find Lacey as well, but it’s more likely that whatever has her, the team, Shaker, and Trent searching is related to Sir and Lacey.
And if Sir may have nefarious plans for more than one person in Gabi’s life.
We’ll have to see if that’s the case when the season premieres.
