EXO’s Kai, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and more SM artists to release new music in 2025

SM Entertainment have announced its release plans for the first quarter of 2025, with EXO’s Kai, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and more set to drop new music.

In a new earnings release for Q3 2024 today (November), SM Entertainment detailed its plans for both music releases and concert line-ups for the remainder of 2024 and first quarter of 2025. These include previously announced music from NCT Dream, Taeyeon and a solo debut by Red Velvet’s Irene for this month.

Additionally, new music from NCT’s Yuta, Mark, WayV and AI-idol naevis are expected to be released before the end of 2024. However, the label has yet to announce definitive release dates.

For the first quarter of 2025, SM Entertainment has plans to release a compilation album under the ‘SMTOWN’ brand, while EXO’s Kai, NCT’s Ten as well as Red Velvet’s Seulgi are expected to release new mini-albums. NCT’s Mark will also drop his solo debut album too, as previously announced.

NCT Wish and naevis are also slated to drop new mini-albums, while soloists Lucas and Hyoyeon are both set to release singles. By the end of 2025’s first quarter, SM Entertainment are also expected to debut a new girl group with the release of their first song.

The K-pop label also previewed a slate of concerts to be held in 2025’s first quarter. aespa are to embark on the North America and European legs of their ongoing ‘SYNK: Parallel Line’ world tour, with countries such as the US, Canada, UK, France, Spain and more mentioned as stops. Meanwhile, NCT 127’s fourth world tour was also included in the report, as announced yesterday.

Red Velvet’s Irene will be making her solo debut with her first mini-album titled ‘Like A Flower’. She will be the fourth member of the girl group to do so after Wendy, Joy and Seulgi.
