Ex-Slipknot and Mushroomhead Vocalists Tapped for Latest Kaosis Single “Breaking the Fallen”

Metal

With nu metal getting some kind of resurgence in recent years, bands like Slipknot and Mushroomhead have only grown in popularity. But what about the dudes that used to be in those bands? That’s where Kaosis’ latest single “Breaking The Fallen” comes in, as both Anders Colsefni and Jeffrey Nothing are featured in that track.

Released earlier today, “Breaking The Fallen” is described as a “progressive nu-metal track” that features “Anders delivering gut-wrenching gutturals and an empowering spoken word bridge section while Nothing delivers a soaring call-and-response chorus with his trademark melodic aggression.” According to Colsefni, the song’s origins come from a 2014 concept that was originally drawn up for Mushroomhead’s 2014 album The Righteous and The Butterfly.

“Jeff and I looked at doing this years ago, but it was XEN and the KAOSIS mob that made it all possible. Jeff is a great vocalists and it was awesome to finally work with him.”

“Breaking The Fallen” is just one single in Kaosis’ sophomore album We Are The Future. You can check out the single featuring Colsefni and Nothing right now.
