We’re all getting pretty sick of waiting for Euphoria Season 3 to land on HBO Max. It’s been so long, we’ll have to rewatch the first two seasons as a refresher so we can remember whatever went down before starting in with Season 3!
As a reminder, the first season of Euphoria came out in 2019, followed by the second season in 2022. As of 2025, production for Season 3 has finally begun. And some of the most beloved cast members have been hanging out behind the scenes.

Sydney and Maude Are Real-Life Besties
As we (desperately) await Season 3 of Euphoria, Sydney and Maude have been passing the time together. They were recently spotted enjoying a night out at a Rangers game in Manhattan.
The onscreen sisters have confessed that they’re close friends IRL, so seeing them hang out in their free time is no big deal. According to People, Maude once hyped Sydney by saying, “Whenever we have a stressful day, knowing that we have each other to talk to is really nice. [Sydney is] one of the kindest actresses I’ve ever worked with.”
She continued gushing about Sydney, “It’s surprising that we’re able to create the friendship. It’s so hard… to have friendships in our industry because we’re constantly traveling and moving from one project to another. You don’t have that much time to really nurture a friendship. With Euphoria, we spend so much time together.”
Sydney and Maude haven’t had much chance to spend time together on Euphoria’s filming set for a while. Now that Season 3 production is in motion, this is fantastic news for the the evolution of their friendship.
What’s Next For Sydney and Maude’s Characters on Euphoria Season 3?
On Euphoria, Sydney plays Cassie Howard and Maude plays Lexi Howard. Season 2 ended with a bang, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats in anticipation. What’s possibly next for Cassie after getting exposed for having an affair with her best friend‘s ex-boyfriend?
Cassie secretly started hooking up with Nate Jacobs behind Maddy Perez’s back. The sleazy affair pretty much butchered the chances of Maddy ever trusting Cassie again. The second season shed light on Cassie’s behavior as a pick-me girl with low self-esteem. Her deep-rooted desire for male validation was on full display.
In Season 3, there’s a chance viewers will see Cassie gain some personal development and growth as she learns from her mistakes and becomes a more mature version of herself. Or… will we see her continue her same old, same old toxic patterns?
As far as Lexi goes, she put her classmates on blast with a school play that exposed everyone’s cringiest insecurities. Will she get called out for that aggressive exposure in Season 3? She also expected to see Fezco come to the school place to show his support in the wake of their blossoming, flirtatious romance.
However, he didn’t show up because he was busy facing off against police officers in a shootout with Ashtray. The late Angus Cloud played Fezco on Euphoria, but he died in 2023. How will Euphoria writers handle that narrative with respect and grace?
Also, it’s been revealed that Season 3 will “time jump” into the future, which means the characters will have graduated high school. There’s a lot to look forward to — especially with Sydney and Maude’s characters. We can never get enough of Cassie and Lexi’s drama!
