Ella Mai’s ‘Not Another Love Song’ Gets Certified Gold

R&B

Ella Mai has a renewal offer from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and the signing bonus comes with another deserved plaque. Her return single “Not Another Love Song” has met the digital equivalent sales requirements to become her latest gold-certified hit.

This news comes nearly two months after the glossy hard-hitting track almost claimed Grammy winner her fourth Adult R&B Airplay chart-topper. It peaked at No. 2 on that Billboard chart.

In terms of streaming, “Not Another” is nearing the 36 million mark on Spotify. The video itself has 13 million views and counting.

Mai is still hard at work producing the follow-up to her self-titled debut album. Released in 2018, the LP filled with number-one hits and multi-certified tracks was named one of Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of the same year

In the interim, Mai helped Usher achieve an impressive Billboard feat last year for the Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox produced track “Don’t Waste My Time.” It became her third prominent placement on the Adult R&B Airplay chart.
