Durand Jones & The Indications — Durand Jones, Aaron Frazer and Blake Rhein — have released their new single “Lovers’ Holiday.” It’s the third single from the progressive soul band’s upcoming album, Flowers, out June 27 via Dead Oceans.

“Lovers’ Holiday” is as delightful as the title suggests. Over a smooth-sailing production, fused with sun-kissed keys, humming bass and sandy percussion, Jones sings of a romantic getaway with his significant other. “Let’s catch a train / Take it up the coast of Spain / It’s all about you and me / Let’s go and make some memories,” he sings in verse two.

Regarding their latest track, Durand Jones & The Indications share, “We didn’t want to give ourselves any rules with ‘Lovers’ Holiday.’ We wanted to make something authentic to our sound, while also giving our fans— the lovers— something to swoon about.”

“Lovers’ Holiday” arrives with a scenic music video with videography by Kimo Kennedy and Andy Woodward. In the clip, The Indications perform the jazzy track in two serene natural settings: a coastal cliff and a mountainous area.

As noted above, “Lovers’ Holiday” is the third single fromFlowersfollowing “Flower Moon” and “Been So Long.”

Speaking on their upcoming album, Jones says, “All of these songs touch on such mature topics, things that we never got to sing about before,” says Jones. “We are all in our 30s, have all been through ups and downs in our personal lives and professional lives, and flowers are a sign of maturity, growth, spring, productivity.”

Frazer adds, “We took the spirit of play that started the project, and added in the wisdom and lessons we’ve acquired through the years.”

Flowersis the follow-up to Durand Jones & The Indications’ third album,Private Space, released in 2021. The latter album included the singles “Witchoo,” “Love Will Work It Out” and “The Way That I Do,” as well as standout deep cuts like “Reach Out” and “Sea of Love.”

Since their last album, Jones and Frazer have released solo albums. Jones released his debut album,Wait Til I Get Over, while Frazer dropped his second offering,Into The Blue, in 2024 — both via Dead Oceans.
