Dominic Scott knows who he wants to give his heart to. On his new single, “Give You My Loving,” the R&B newcomer professes his affection to a potential partner.
He knows that she is the woman of his dreams and promises to treat her as such. “See I can be there when you need me / I make good company / I’ll cook if you hungry / If you say the word, I’m blocking them hoes out my phone,” he sings over the breezy production.
Scott tells Rated R&B, “‘Give You My Loving’ was inspired by wanting something deeper than the surface and the need for real love.”
Scott also notes that the song is sonically different from his previous releases. “I was bored with music at the time I recorded the song and wanted to push myself to make something that felt ‘out of the box’ for me,” he explains.
“Give You My Loving” will appear on Scott’s upcoming project, Dear Summer, set to release later this month on Red Balloon Works.
Dear Summer will follow his debut mixtape, Color Theory, released in 2022. “This project pushed me creatively and as an artist. It allowed me to experiment with sounds and I really got to hone in on my storytelling, creating a whole new world with this project,” shares Scott.
