Change is in the air on Doctor Who, but there’s also plenty of familiarity.

Disney+ on Wednesday revealed that the highly-anticipated three-part Doctor Who 60th Anniversary series will premiere next month.

The three specials are titled “The Star Beast” (November 25), “Wild Blue Yonder” (December 2), and “The Giggle” (December 9).

As previously reported, the trilogy will reunite the Fourteenth Doctor (David Tennant) and Donna Temple-Noble (Catherine Tate) as they come face-to-face with their most terrifying villain yet:

The Toymaker (played by Neil Patrick Harris in his Doctor Who debut).

Additional new cast includes Yasmin Finney as Rose Temple-Noble, Miriam Margolyes as the voice of the Meep, and Ruth Madeley as Shirley Anne Bingham.

More returning favorites include Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble, Karl Collins as Shaun Temple, and Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.

Following the event’s conclusion, Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education) will steer the Tardis as the Fifteenth Doctor.

He will be front and center when the next season of the iconic sci-fi series touches down on Disney+ in 2024.

If you watch Doctor Who online, you know that the Doctor and Donna’s reunion isn’t going to be easy.

The Doctor wiped Donna’s memory so that he could secure her safety.

Unfortunately, it seems that because she’s remembering events, she’s in more danger than ever.

Disney+ dropped a thrilling new promo that showcases the team-ups and perils ahead in the next three episodes.

It’s clear no expense was spared in bringing the series back for this iconic anniversary.

It’s always nice when a company puts faith in a project, and it’s definitely doing so with Doctor Who.

Tennant’s return was revealed a year ago in last season’s finale.

“I think I was worried before I got there that it might be difficult to get in the groove again,” he said, adding that it was just like riding a bike because it was “weirdly straightforward.”

Tennant added, “there’s a bit of a precedent in this show that all Doctors may turn up for a special now and again, but usually in cohort with the current team.”

“So to get another run round the park was a little joy I never saw coming,” the star added.

“What a lovely, lovely thing to get to revisit something that was such a wonderful, happy, significant time in my life,” he added.

“It’s like being given the loveliest present. It’s been an absolute joy.”

Showrunner Russell T Davies also spoke out about the news.

“If you thought the appearance of David Tennant was a shock, we’ve got plenty more surprises on the way!” Davies said.

“The path to Ncuti’s Fifteenth Doctor is laden with mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger and fun! And how is it connected to the return of the wonderful

“Donna Noble (to be played again by Catherine Tate)? How, what, why?

“We’re giving you a year to speculate, and then all hell lets loose!”
