Dave Hollister has unveiled the dates for his 2023 spring tour.
The R&B veteran will begin his trek on May 4 in Chicago, Illinois. From there, he will perform in St. Louis, Houston and Atlanta, among other locations.
The eight-city tour wraps up June 24 in Boston, Massachusettes.
It’s been nearly seven years since Hollister last released an album. The former Blackstreet member released The MANuscript in August 2016.
The album, which featured an appearance from Angie Stone, included the lead single “Definition of a Woman.”
Regarding the song, Hollister shared: “Love feels so good. Those of us men who have been fortunate enough to experience true love wrapped in romance can attest to the fact that there’s nothing else like it. It’s a very specific feeling to have the love of a woman.”
Actress LisaRaye starred in the official video for the song, directed by Nicole Blue. “LisaRaye brought a warmth and a light to this video that only she could, and it was easy working with my homie versus a stranger, so…easy day for me,” Hollister noted.
In the summer of 2021, Hollister announced his supergroup with fellow R&B all-stars Carl Thomas and Donell Jones called The Chi, a nod to their hometown Chicago, Illinois.
Hollister wrote in an Instagram post: “New R&B Group’ The Chi’ @donelljonesforever @carlthomasnow @davehollister ….the music…the voices finally coming together to give your ears and hearts what you’ve been waiting for…we started talking about this in 2009 and now the time has finally come….Brothas I count it an honor and privilege to Rep home with you both! LETS GO!”
In August 2021, Jones released his “Karma (Remix)” featuring Hollister, Thomas, RL and Jacquees. The Chi has yet to release official music at this time.
Last September, Hollister posted a photo on Instagram of him in a recording booth. He wrote: “⅓ of ‘The Chi’ recording my vocals on our project while my brothers are on the road then I hit it in the morning! @donelljonesforever & @carlthomasnow I can’t wait till y’all smack this record!!!”
