Cynic Release Video and Announce

Metal

Weirdo metalers Cynic just announced a remixed and remastered version of their debut album Focus, and shared a video for “Veil of Maya” from the record.

Their debut Focus, originally out in 1993, put the band on the map as a heavy, experimental powerhouse. ReFocus was remixed by Warren Riker, who has mixed most of their later material, and mastered by Eric Koondel. The album will release June 9.

“We are proud to present to you ReFocus, a renewed version of our beloved album Focus,” says Cynic frontman Paul Masvidal. “ReFocus is entirely remixed by Warren Riker, and we are so thankful for all the people who have supported us and given us the opportunity to bring this work to life.”

Preorders of the album can be found here. Cynic, also recently just shared their Uroboric Forms – The Complete Demo Recordings compilation online, which features their demos from 1989 to 1991.
