Hell yeah, Crobot. The stoner band has been characteristically unstoner with how much they’ve been up to. Yesterday, the occasional unofficial holiday of Friday the 13th, Crobot dropped two things—first, they announced their upcoming new album Supermoon, and second, they shared the lead single from the album, called “Foot Off,” which you can listen to below.
“Foot Off” was recorded at a pretty iconic place: Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Recording Studio and The Machine Shop Recording Studio in Texas. Talk about making big moves.
Crobot frontman Brandon Yeagley shared the following:
“‘Foot Off’ puts us right back in the driver’s seat of charging our way through open highways at break neck speed with our destination set to our Dirty Groove Rock roots. This one is for the fans that have been with us from the beginning and fans that want to know exactly what we’re all about – still after 15 years of being a band.”
Guitarist Chris Bishop added:
“It’s somewhere between ZZ Top, Aerosmith, and Clutch. Right where I like to be baby. I’m happy we are back to funkin’. Ever since I was a wee little boy, that’s what’s always got my motor running.”
Supermoon is due out May 1 via Megaforce Records.
