Coliseum, who announced their reunion in November of last year, just dropped details about their first show since they broke up in 2015.
Also known as C.L.S.M. and hailing from Louisville, KY, the band will be getting back up on stage on April 20, 2024 at Planet Of The Tapes in Louisville.
Guitar and vocalist Ryan Patterson says about the upcoming show:
“Carter, Kayhan, and I are happy to announce that Coliseum will be playing on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky at Planet Of The Tapes. This is our first time performing live together in over eight years. We will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first Coliseum show and playing songs spanning our entire history.
“As has always been our way, this is a DIY event put together by friends and our music community. Ticketing is being handled by me directly via my site Shirt Killer in order to circumvent the fees normally associated with standard event ticketing. Capacity is very limited. Additional bands TBA.
“Thanks to all the Black Magic Punks out there who supported us over the years. We can’t wait to play these songs again.
“- Ryan / Coliseum
Coliseum initially broke up in 2015 after recording five studio albums. Last year, they got back together suddenly, announcing at once that they were reunited and had a new album. In November, they released the record Infinity Shit via Equal Vision Records.
At the time, they announced their reunion with a surprise post:
“Surprise: We have a new album out today! C.L.S.M. Infinity Shit is 10 songs of raw hardcore from Ryan Patterson, Kayhan Varizi, and Carter Wilson. This an LP borne from enduring friendship, a desire to continue to create music together, and a seething rage that is best expressed through ferocious hardcore punk.”
Hopefully we get more than just one show this year, as the band are officially reunited.
